Instructions:
Objective: The goal of Checkers Pro is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or block them so they cannot make a move.
Setup:
The game is played on an 8x8 board with alternating light and dark squares.
Each player starts with 12 pieces placed on the dark squares of the three rows closest to them.
Basic Moves:
Players take turns moving their pieces diagonally forward. Regular pieces move one square at a time.
To capture an opponent's piece, move your piece diagonally to a square occupied by an opponent's piece. Your piece must then jump over the opponent's piece to an empty square directly beyond it, removing the opponent's piece from the board.
King Me:
When a piece reaches the last row on the opponent's side of the board, it is "kinged" and gains the ability to move diagonally both forward and backward.
To king a piece, place it on the crowning square (the last row) and it will be upgraded with a distinguishing mark.
Winning the Game:
The game is won by capturing all of the opponent's pieces or by blocking their moves so they cannot make a legal move.
If a player is unable to move and has no pieces left, the other player is declared the winner.
Special Rules:
If a piece can make a capture, it must do so. If multiple captures are possible, the player can choose the sequence of captures.
In the event of a draw (where neither player can make a legal move), the game ends in a tie.
Tips:
Control the center of the board for better maneuverability.
Plan your moves ahead and consider potential captures and counter-moves by your opponent.
Enjoy the strategic depth and timeless fun of Checkers Pro!
